The 2nd AKAA Edu4Pazaab symposium will be taking place from the 21 – 23rd February 2012 in the heart of the Free State. Your hosts Bloemfontein Zoo and the Friends of the Zoo welcome you to the city of roses, Bloemfontein. The theme for the 2012 symposium is “Education beyond the 4 walls: The sky’s the limit”. This is Africa – make a plan. The venue will be Reyneke Park, just opposite the Kwaggafontein Game Farm. Take a look at their website for more details. www.reynekepark.co.za.
The symposium kicks off on Tuesday the 21st with a welcoming speech and key note address in line with the theme of ‘beyond the 4 walls’ which may trigger the delegates to look at education from a different viewpoint. Following presentations and discussions delegates will visit the Bloemfontein Zoo for a walkabout and dinner.
Wednesday the 22nd will be a jam packed day of presentations and discussions at Reyneke Park. The posters will also be on display at the venue and time will be allocated for discussions on the posters.
The last day of the symposium will be spent outdoors at Kwaggafontein Game Farm. The programme for the day includes presentations, discussions, practical demonstrations by amongst others, Mr. Paul Jennings from the Rights for Rhino’s Foundation and a walkabout on the game farm to stretch the old muscles after much sitting the past few days. The symposium will draw to a close back at Reyneke Park for a traditional Paazab bash.
