You will have your own unique profile which will be updated with all your achievements; attendance of workshops, symposiums, conferences & last but not least, your qualifications.
As an AKAA Member, through your own motivation, you will be able to apply to be included in the KEPA program (Keeper Exchange Program Africa). The incentive being that, depending on experience & specific skills, a Keeper could gain invaluable training & share skills with other facilities.
Recognition within the Zoo community of your achievements. By attendance of workshops, symposiums, conferences, in-house training you will be improving your career path.
Your application for in-house training schemes will receive preference.
Preference will be given to AKAA Members for entry into PAAZAB accredited training schemes. The successful completion of these training courses will result in a SAQA recognised certificate.

Provide the AKAA electronic PDF Quarterly News Letter (Paws, Claws, Fins & Scales) to you (posting on request).
A Membership Card (with unique number), Membership Certificate, an Association Badge & Cap upon joining.
